5 Fun Ways to Practice Times Tables at Home
Memorizing multiplication tables doesn't have to be boring. Try these five playful methods.
Times tables are the backbone of arithmetic. The good news: a few minutes of playful practice each day beats a long, dull drill.
1. Skip-count out loud
Walk around the room and chant: 3, 6, 9, 12… It builds rhythm and pattern memory.
2. Use everyday objects
Group buttons, coins or LEGO into equal piles to see multiplication in action.
3. Play a quick game
Even five minutes a day on our Times Table Tap game builds fast recall.
4. Sing the tricky ones
Make up a short rhyme for the tables your child finds hardest (often 7× and 8×).
5. Tie it to real life
Cooking, sports scores and shopping all hide multiplication problems — point them out.
