What is addition?
Addition is putting two or more numbers together to get a total, called the sum.
Try a number line
Start at the first number, then jump forward by the second number.
Example: 3 + 4: start at 3, jump 4 times → 4, 5, 6, 7. So 3 + 4 = 7.
Quick trick
If you add 0, the number stays the same. If you add 1, count up by one.
